Laura Linney, best known for playing strong, yet fragile characters, is one of the most well-known American actors of our times. While spending her summers at her father's house, she developed an interest in theater. Following her studies at Brown University for a while before transferring to Juilliard School to study acting. Within a mere two months after graduating she began her Broadway-based career. In the following year, she made her debut in the world of film and television. In the years since she's been in many TV productions, films and stage plays. She has won many awards in her long career. They include the four Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three Academy Award Nominations, and five Tony Award Nominations. However, despite all the awards, her passion for theater is still there, and she still performs as a stage performer and screen.
